WWII Convoys

Convoys have come to be seen as one of the most important aspects of the naval war of 1939-1945. This seminar looked at some key factors - the key role of intelligence, the effect of weather on operations and the ways in which the convoys were used by the British as propaganda.

Speakers:

Eric Grove : University of Hull

Jock Gardner : Naval Historical Branch

Chris Howard Bailey : Royal Naval Museum
