The Royal Naval Museum hosted its third Trafalgar Night Dinner in the Princess Royal Gallery which, once again, proved to be a huge success. Our guest-of-honour Sir Robert Walmsley KCB FREng, Chief Executive and Chief of Defence Procurement, proposed The Immortal Memory.
The Museumís Trafalgar Night Dinner is a fundraising event and tickets are sold individually at £150 per person or £1,250 for a table of ten. The price this year included a Champagne Reception in the Nelson Gallery, a five-course dinner with wine and a special talk by the Museumís Nelson expert, Colin White, entitled Dinner with Nelson in the Victory on the eve of Trafalgar. The Fort Cumberland Guard provided entertainment and colour to the evening by parading the Baron of Beef.
We will be organising another similar event in 2003, although the date and the guest-of-honour have yet to be decided. If you are interested in receiving information, when it is ready, please contact: Mrs Sue Goodger
