Held in the splendid surroundings of the Museum’s Princess Royal Gallery, with stunning views out over Portsmouth Harbour and HMS Victory herself, the dinner is a highly popular event in the social calendar. It has attracted a number of distinguished guests of honour including, HRH the Princess Royal, Admiral the Lord Boyce – and even Lord Nelson himself! This year will be no exception as Vice Admiral Alan Massey CBE, ADC, Second Sea Lord and Commander-in-Chief Home Command, has agreed to be our guest of honour.

As well as providing guests with a rare opportunity to take part in one of the great traditional events of Britain, the dinner also enables them to support the Royal Naval Museum by raising funds to assist in its work of preserving and presenting the history of the Royal Navy.
