Preliminary Visits

To help with advance planning and preparation we strongly recommend that teachers make a preliminary visit to the Historic Dockyard (free of charge). This should be pre-booked if you wish to discuss your visit with a member of staff.

Health and Safety

The Museum has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and has been fully risk assessed. Copies can be made available on request at the time of booking. We also advise teachers to conduct their own risk assessments prior to their visit to the Historic Dockyard.

Links with HMS Victory

The Museum is closely linked with HMS Victory. The Victory, Nelson and Sailing Navy Galleries support a visit to the ship, with interactive and multimedia displays and many original artefacts that help to recreate life afloat in the Eighteenth Century Navy.

All tickets for HMS Victory give access to the Museum.
